Before you call
Asked by people still on the schedule
If yours isn't here, call and ask.
Cost
What does it cost to talk to you?
The first call is free. If we take your case, we charge no attorney's fee unless we recover money for you. Case costs, such as filing fees, records and experts, are separate and are set out in your written agreement, including who pays them if there is no recovery.
Will you promise I'll win?
No lawyer can. We'll tell you what we see, what we'd look into and what could go wrong, then you decide.
Your job
How long do I have to bring a claim?
Deadlines depend on the kind of claim and some are short, so call as soon as you can, even if you're unsure.
Will my boss know I talked to a lawyer?
Not from us. We don't contact your employer unless you've decided to go ahead.
I'm still working there. What should I do?
Keep working, keep your own notes of what happens, and don't take work documents you aren't allowed to take. We'll go through what's safe on the first call.
Your visit
What should I bring to my first visit?
Pay stubs, your schedule, any termination letter or paper you were asked to sign, and your own notes. If you have none of these, come anyway.
Can I meet in Spanish?
Yes. Alejandro Segovia speaks Spanish with clients, and we bring an interpreter for other languages when we can.
Can I come by after my shift?
Yes. Each office keeps evening hours on set weekdays, and Torrance and San Pedro take Saturday appointments.
Still unsure? Tell us in your own words
A few lines is enough. We'll write back with a time to talk.
